This newly designed trip to the remote villages of Nagaland, the old headhunters of Burma, brings you to undiscovered places in Nagaland, where people still dress in tradional outfits, hunt with bow and arrows, and smoke opium pipes. We explore the smaller towns near Lahe with a 4 wheel drive jeep, with a team of Photographic experts who know the area very well. We stay in a basic guesthouse with sahred bathrooms and single occupancy. Meals are done by our team or in a local restaurant.

EXPEDITION’S FIRST DAY: BANGKOK TO MANDALAY
Flight to Mandalay. Afternoon visit to the highlights of Mandalay (optional) if you wish to visit some photographic locations of the city. Evening dinner at the Hotel and overnight in Mandalay.

EXPEDITION’S SECOND DAY: MANDALAY TO KHAMTI-LAHE(B-L-D)
Flight from Mandalay to Khamti. Transfer from airport to the Khamti Mingalar Market to make some last shopping. In Lahe we have limited resources so we have to buy some inventory for the expedition.

EXPEDITION’S THIRD DAY: SANTON AND MAKYAN VILLAGE(B-L-D)
At 5 AM we drive to Santon Village and ask the village chief for permission to photograph the local life of the Naga tribe, the house of the chief is an amazing example of a traditional Naga house. We shoot the family and friends in the front and the inside of his house and look for other locations in and around the houses to photograph the daily life of the Naga Tribes. After a local lunch prepared by our crew we stay in Santon Village to shoor more scenes, on the way back to Lahe we stop in Makyan Village to photograph the golden hour with all activities of the locals. Arrive in Lahe and lunch in a local restaurant or home cooking by our team. Overnight at Lahe.

EXPEDITION’S FOURTH DAY: YOUNG KON VILLAHE(B-L-D)
We proceed to wake up early and visit the village of Young Kon. We visit the local houses and ask for photo shoots inside their home. In the afternoon some local older warriors will dress up in their traditional dress to photograph  them in portrait mode. In the late afternoon we shoot with the models in the river to see their hunting habits and shoot pictures around the river bedding.

EXPEDITION’S FIFTH DAY: LONGKHIN VILLAGE AND NYIN SHAUNG VULLAGE (B-L-D)
We visit the village of Lonkhin. We visit some house and try to catch the local women prepare the rice and then watch the children play soccer. We proceed to the village of Nyin Shaung and are welcomed again by the village chief. We proceed to visit a few houses with the chief and his family. After lunch we visit the village Yon Time village to document the outdoor scenes, kids playing, wood carrying etc

EXPEDITION’S SIXTH DAY: LAHE PHOTOSHOOT (B-L-D)
We start a bit later to shoot traditional dress in Lahe with models. We visit the local temple in the morning, some scenes near the river and take a rest in the afternoon, at 4 PM we proceed to shoot near the river in traditional Naga dress.

EXPEDITION’S SEVENTH DAY: SANPYA AND SAW LAU NAU INN VILLAGES (B-L-D)
We start from Lahe on our way back to visit the villages SanPya (two sisters), Saw Lau Nau Inn (mushrooms) and (Kids playing on naga instrument) PinLon Village. Late afternoon we arrive in Lahe and check in our guesthouse. Dinner in a local restaurant in Lahe and overnight.

EXPEDITION’S EIGHTH DAY: THAR YAR KOUNG VILLAGE (B-L-D)
Today we head out to Thar Yar Koung Village and photograph the local life, some interiors of houses and the way of life of the Naga Tribe. We have a shooting near the river with the village chief and his friends, photographing their traditional outfits of the Naga Warriors

EXPEDITION’S NINTH DAY: LAHE TO KHAMTI (B-L-D)
We head back to Khamti and stay overnight. Free afternoon to visit the town of Khamti and explore the local market and the pier near the river. Overnight in a Khamti Guesthouse.

EXPEDITION’S TENTH DAY: KHAMTI MANDALAY BANGKOK
We fly to Mandalay, then connecting flight to Bangkok. End of service.
